Analyze and redesign existing website for a local chiropractor.
Usability Analysis, Competitive Analysis, UX Design, Web Design
Successfully conducted a usability audit and created a fully functional, responsive and optimized website, ready for business use.
Existing Website: revitalize-health.net
Re-designed Website: Revitalize Health
I completed a comprehensive usability analysis for the business owner. I took the findings and completed a website redesign for use by the business.
The original website for the chiropractic practice contained issues related to usability, clarity, and trust-building. Visitors faced unclear navigation and site structure, lack of proper hierarchical structure, lengthy blocks of text, and few call-to-action prompts. The design didn’t effectively reflect the client’s professionalism or local presence — ultimately making it harder for new patients to take the next step. With local competition high and most site visitors arriving via mobile search, the website needed to improve upon guiding users quickly and confidently toward booking an appointment.
I began with a comprehensive usability audit to identify pain points across desktop and mobile views. Using a mix of heuristic evaluation and best-practice comparisons, I surfaced a range of opportunities to improve clarity, structure, and conversion flow.
Based on audit findings, I created a streamlined, mobile-friendly redesign focused on patient clarity and trust. I implemented the redesign using Weebly to keep hosting costs minimal while still enabling a professional, SEO-friendly layout. The redesign prioritized usability and clarity without overwhelming the user — giving both new and returning patients a smoother path to booking or learning more about services.
This project reinforced the power of usability-first design, especially for small service-based businesses. Even on a limited platform and with a lean budget, applying UX principles can make a measurable impact. The process also highlighted how small design choices — like adding a clearer homepage structure or mobile-friendly buttons — can meaningfully reduce user friction.
Going forward, I aim to incorporate similar usability audits into more projects, especially for local businesses looking to improve their web presence without heavy technical investment.
